Lundy Healthcare recently supported Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging in an installation of their Equine MRI scanner in Lyon, France. Hallmarq is the only manufacturer of MRI systems for the standing sedated equine. The Hallmarq team, are behind the development of the standing equine MRI system and have man-decades of experience in the design and manufacture of clinical, research and industrial MRI systems. There are currently 42 standing equine MRI systems installed globally.Lundy Engineer Phillip Lancashire worked with Trevor Selwood from Hallmarq on the installation at a Veterinary practice in Lyon. The installation took just over one week and the system is now fully operational and completed its first scans in April 2009.“We are delighted to have developed a relationship with Hallmarq. We are really excited by their product and it provides a new challenge for our MRI engineers in a different environment. We look forward to assisting them in future projects” said Ben Rice, Lundy Sales and Marketing Manager.“We have been very impressed with Lundy’s assistance during our recent system installation. Having access to an additional pool of talented MRI engineers is of great benefit. We look forward to a continued relationship with Lundy Healthcare” said Steve Roberts, Hallmarq Technical Director.
